If you possess a passion for baseballs, one of the favorite recreational sports and you are looking for baseball training aids, the best place to look for varieties is Internet.
The main reason is that buying baseball equipment can be very expensive.
You need baseball turf shoes and other baseball equipment as well. When you will make the list you will feel that costs add up dramatically. If children join a club they have to buy all the baseball equipment if they are interested to join the team. This makes the purchase even more expensive.

Many people today still do not know where baseball originates from, so lets take a brief look at baseball’s history.
Although it is difficult to pinpoint an exact birthday birth place for baseball, we can trace it back to the most logical of places…England.
Games involving a bat, a ball and bases have been around for many hundreds of years, in many parts of the world. It is this reason that brings uncertainty to baseball’s one true origin.
The modern game of baseball is in fact a direct sibling of the English game of rounders. Rounders has been played in England for hundreds of years, and it is thought that the English brought the game over to the ...
Post from: Sports On The Blog

A Look At Baseball’s History

The first step to achieving success in baseball pitching mechanics and techniques is to ensure optimal balance throughout delivery of the ball. It begins with balance and posture in baseball hitting, ensuring that all your momentum is directed toward home plate. You need to take care of any inappropriate head movement going away from home plate. Many pitchers fail in maintaining balance throughout delivery.
After establishing balance in baseball hitting, next step in pitching mechanics and technique is to create explosive power to foot strike. A short stride slows down momentum and affects perceived pitching velocity. Releasing baseball closer to home plate gives advantage over batter since batter gets less time to react.
The next important baseball ...
Post from: Sports On The Blog

Baseball pitching mechanics and techniques

Baseball net fans know I am a traditionalist who has been against inter-league play and wild card teams. But hold the presses, baseball net! I’m now going to advocate that baseball be MORE like another sport.
In my wildest baseball net fantasies, I envision MLB Commissioner Bud Selig morphing into NBA Commissioner David Stern and pushing for an NBA-modeled salary cap. Baseball net fans realize that the players’ union will only support a salary cap when pigs fly, but if sweetened with some Stern-inspired incentives, they may be spouting wings sooner than we think.
Baseball net knows that MLB’s biggest problem is its lack of a level economic playing ground. Medium and small-market teams (e.g.,the Florida Marlins, ...
Post from: Sports On The Blog

Why Can’t MLB Be More Like the NBA?

The very first World Series was played in 1903 between the Boston American League club (now the Boston Red Sox) and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Although the first world series wasn’t played until 1903, there was a previous championship called “The Championship of the United States” and “World’s Championship Series”, which the winners of the National League and American Association had played from 1884 to 1891. The Series ended when the American Association folded in 1891.
Ban Johnson formed the American League in 1901 to try and take advantage of the National League’s cut down from twelve teams down to eight. Ban Johnson and fellow owners raided the senior circuit and signed away many star players. This constant ...
Post from: Sports On The Blog

Baseball:The Story Of The First World Series

Steroids in baseball…many have done it, many have thought about doing it.
Anabolic steroids are a synthetic version of the male hormone testosterone. In it’s normal state, testosterone boosts muscle growth. But when it is supplemented with steroids, you have an increase of muscle mass and enhanced endurance.
It is used by athletes to try to have that extra edge over the competition.
Steroid side effects include mood swings, depression, roid rage, violence, aggression, hair loss/growth, acne, liver damage and the most severe…cancer.
Steroids provide a quick explosion of muscle mass and endurance, but long term provide an explosion of decreased mental and physical health.
Steroid use in baseball is illegal…and is against the Major League Baseball’s rules.
Yet athletes today ...
Post from: Sports On The Blog

The Shameful Truth About The Use Of Steroids In Baseball
